Better- known as Fred Mever, who was employed on fish boat "N J Brooks" fell overboard on the ship about 15 miles from here and drowned. His fellow workers tried to save him but he was no longer in a position to use the rescue line and sank before their eyes. He reached age 28 years and had married his surviving spouse in March this year. #134
