It now does a very large business and numbers among its customers some of the largest jobbers and dealers in the west. The firm confines their operations to a few articles such as vinegar, pickles, mustard and compressed yeast. By the concentration of their efforts on a few articles they get far better results. To the city and country this is quite an industry. It encourages the growth of a class of products which have proved very profitable for the farming community, while the firm only employ 6 in the works, as it is a business in which but little actual help is needed, yet the good they do the county consists in the large sums of money paid out each year to the farming community for their products. The factory, which was built in 1892, is 30x105 feet, 2 stories &amp; basement high. Steam power is used and all late mechanical appliances are included in the equipment. The goods made here are noted for their fine quality and are general favorites with the public. Mr Richter is one of our lodest and most esteemed citizens. His sons, MH and HO Richter, who are associated with him, are widely known for their executive ability and good business characteristics.
